If anyone who owns one or just knows about getting this kind of stuff to work for Mac could give me some advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. As I understand it, I'd have to get a component cable for the PS3 anyway, even if I got the newer PVR 2 GE. I don't want to go with a PVR 2 GE because it looks like it only has HDMI, and while I am primarily going to be recording PS3, I want to be able to record stuff from other consoles as well. I'd really like to stay away from having to buy more software, if possible. I've been googling this, but have yet to find clear answers (I'm STILL googling it!). I found what looks to be a good deal on the HD PVR Gaming Edition, but from what I can tell, I'd have to buy the software for Mac =/ Does anyone know of some alternatives? I have Adobe Premier Pro, which I'm pretty sure can capture video like this, but I'm not sure about finding the drivers for mac. I'm looking into getting a recording device.
